OUR ATTORNEY
Laura Lloyd finished law school at the University of Georgia in 1996 and moved to Centre after she and Scott got married in 1997. Laura practiced law in Gadsden for almost 25 years, focusing on child custody, domestic relations, and municipal law. She moved her practice home to Centre in April 2022, joining Lloyd Legal, LLC. Laura serves as a Deputy Attorney General representing Etowah County DHR and also serves as attorney and prosecutor for the Town of Cedar Bluff.Prior to attending law school, Laura received her undergraduate degree in education from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. She taught high school for several years in Gwinnett County, GA, before going to law school. While in law school, Laura was a member of the Georgia Law Review.Laura was born and raised in metro Atlanta. She has proudly called Alabama home now since 1997. She is an active member of Centre First United Methodist Church where she sings in the Chancel Choir and has served on the Board of Trustees and the Staff Parish Relations Committee. Laura also is a member of the Cherokee County Civitan Club. While she is proud of her professional accomplishments, she’s equally proud to be a Wife to Scott and Mom to their twin daughters, Caroline and Sarah.

COMPLETED COLLEGE
Laura attended Presbyterian College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science Education in 1990. Laura was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and served on the Freshmen Orientation Board.
1996
COMPLETED LAW SCHOOL
Laura graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1996. Laura was a member of Georgia Law Review.
1997
ADMITTED TO THE BAR
Laura passed the Georgia Bar in 1996 and the Alabama Bar in 1997.
